Useful Legal Tricks to Triple Adsense Earnings in One Month
I use Google AdSense to monetize my blogs and websites as long as I can remember. In reality, it was the first method I ever tried (I made a whooping $ 15 on my first month … back in 2005). Over the years I have migrated to other methods (ie direct sponsors and affiliate marketing), AdSense is simply what a load statement. I still make about $ 1,000 each month to go, but whenever I could, I use other methods against it.
Then a couple of months ago I started noticing an increase in the CPC of my sites, and I thought I should make another attempt to AdSense. I started to apply some changes here and there, and next month I made over $ 3000 and it (that is to link all my sites). I was pleasantly surprised, and I decided to continue working actively in a number of sites.
In this article I want to share tips and tricks they use to triple my AdSense income in a month.
1. I added to my big sites
Daily Blog Tips Daily tips and writing are my greatest website in relation to traffic. Are getting nearly one million page views per month (combined). Despite the fact that I had to use AdSense on them, mainly due to the direct sponsorship of the model has worked well enough.
A few months ago, I decided to load AdSense units on site, however, and the results were very positive. About 70% of the thrust I generated for my income came from these two places. At the same time, I managed to keep the methods of monetization of other excellent work, and no reader has ever complained about the new ads (more on that later).
Even if your blog is already making money with sponsors direct and affiliate marketing, so you still have time to increase your income by adding strategic AdSense units.
2. I added my web small units
As many webmasters do, I have many small sites scattered across the web. Some are hosted on free platforms like Blogger and others are self-hosted sites that I dropped in transit. Most of these sites still get traffic, however. Not many numbers, but combined to obtain decent.
I thought that adding AdSense units to all these places could give a little money and I was right. The main reason is that since the case of abandoned sites and loyal visitors, I can place the devices very aggressively. The result was a very high CTR (clickthrough rate) to compensate for low levels of traffic.
Do not underestimate the revenue potential of small websites, especially if you are ready to place AdSense aggressive.
3. I used the large units
If you want to make money with AdSense, which will inevitably have to use one of these units: the rectangle of 336 × 280 large rectangle, 300 × 250 skyscraper 120 × 600 large classification or 728 × 90.
When I tried to use smaller units, the results were disappointing. Even if I spot them aggressive CTR was too low.
All four points above, can produce good results, but by far the best performance of a 336 × 280 large rectangle, and that’s what I use to promote my earnings.
4. I put the units up top
My first attempt was to place the rectangle of 336 × 280 large between the post and the comments section of my blogs. The results were OK. I then decided to try to place them under the job titles for a week, and CTR dramatically. In fact, I still need to find an internship / device combination that builds a unit of 336 × 280 job titles.
I knew this rule, but I guess I had to get confirmation. The rule is: if you want to make money with Google AdSense, you must place your units above the fold.
5. I concentrated on organic traffic
My main concern with the addition of a large AdSense block right under my post title was just a few of the faithful readers might be angry with her. At the same time loyal readers know that a blind ad be fast enough, and that most of the money comes from visitors organic (ie, people who come through search engines to my posts).
To resolve this problem, I decided to show the large rectangle only messages older than seven days (via What WordPress plugin). It worked like a charm, as faithful readers do not even notice the ad units when they look through my posts lately, and organic visitors almost always see the ads because they usually land on messages older than seven days.
6. I started with AdSense for Search
I did not know how much money would be able to do with AdSense for search, but was not satisfied with search results provided by WordPress, so I decided to give it a shot anyway.
I am currently about $ 60 per month with AdSense for search. This is not much, but if you add more than one year, we’re talking about $ 720. In addition to the search results are as relevant as, so it’s a win-win.
7. I started using AdSense for feeds
Another product AdSense, I decided to try was one AdSense for feeds. I have chosen to display ads on my articles of food (you can also place them on top, but it would be too intrusive in my opinion). The results presented here have been very good, both in terms of CTR and earnings.
You obviously need a large subscriber base options for doing this work, but I think that even if a couple thousand participants, one could already make $ 100 a month for ads feed.
8. I played a bit with section targeting
This is the section targeting of AdSense, which allows to offer some parts of your site should be used for similar ads. You can read more here.
I found the niche and small websites for the section can help a lot. Google has been fair to place ads on these independent sites, because there was not enough pages. After using section targeting, I managed to improve ad relevance and therefore CTR.
9. I tested with different colors and fonts
If you use both image and text ads that unit should be able to customize the colors and fonts. I did some tests, and these factors, and has helped increase the numbers. Nothing dramatic, but it was definitely worth my time.
Just follow your CTR for a few weeks. Then change the color or font, and tracks for another week, see if you can beat the original CTR. If you can, keep the new format. If the results fall, try a new color or font and follow the CTR for another week until you find the right combination.
On my sites the best results come to the ad units merge with the look of the site, but in some places contrasting colors better results, then the test is a must.
Buying and Selling Blogs with Strong Personal Brands
Mark Wolfinger wrote, “When I write a blog, it’s my passion that the readers see. It’s my writing style and knowledge. Buy an existing blog and the blog’s voice changes immediately. How can you keep loyal readers who loved the previous voice?”
This is of course a key consideration in buying or selling a personally branded blog. It’s true that the strength of some personal brands may make a blog unsaleable, but that doesn’t need to be the case.
The blog as a business
In response to Mark’s comment, the Blog Tyrant pointed out, “Mark you read ProBlogger and hardly any of the posts are by Darren nowadays.”
This reminds me of that old saying that if you want to have a saleable business, you have to be able to step back at some point and work on it, rather than in it.
This seems to be the approach that Darren has taken with ProBlogger. He’s spent years building a strong personal brand, and building a blog that revolves around that. By establishing ProBlogger as a leading light in the niche, he’s able to attract some of the best bloggers and source high-quality content for the site, and that’s let him step back from the blog to work on aspects like product development.

8 Tips To Launch Successful Challenges at Your Blog
Earlier this year, I launched a challenge called 30 Days To Live a Better Life (30DLBL) on my blog. This is a 30-day challenge where participants complete one task a day, for 30 days in the month, that will help them live a better life. When I created 30DLBL, it was breath of fresh air—I’d not seen any such personal development challenges around at the time, and it was fun to do something different rather than just write articles every week. I was very excited about my challenge, and thought I’d probably get about 100 people joining in, or 200 people max.
I was proven wrong. The minute the post went live, there were already a handful of participants. By the end of the day, there were over 100 participants. The number slowly exploded to 200, 300, 500, 800 … to over 1,200 excited participants all over the world, all ready to transform their lives in the next 30 days! Not only that, but people were tweeting about 30DLBL, blogging about it, sharing it on Facebook, and telling all their friends about it. Some readers even specially created new blogs just to blog about their 30DLBL experience. Needless to say, the response totally blew me away!

Why I stopped Reading John Chow?
I was a passionate reader of John Chow’s blog up until a few months ago. It was interesting, it was teaching me how to make money online, it was nicely written with sense of evil humour and he was a good model and example of making money online for me.
But, at some point we all fall preys of greed.
Sponsored reviews are nice, and they are even nicer when you get $450 per pop, but posting about brain control vitamins, and other totally irrelevant products (that I doubt even find a buyer on a blog that focuses on making money online) is somewhat not very readers-friendly. The 125*125 banners are nice, but placing 10 (!) of them on every page, most of which are blinking and lead to dodgy website is yet again not readers friendly. Linking to everything from office chairs to lowest level MFA sites is obviously profitable but how does his blog look?
Without a doubt he earns more and more every month and appearantly adding more and more ads, as well as getting penalized by Google did not affect him all that badly. For me, reading daily on the exciting TTZ Media updates (his own ads company) as well as viewing appetizing pictures of dishes from luxurious dinners he has been invited too is again — nice, but not enough to keep an average blogger who is eager to make money online — reading daily or subscribing. Sad, it used to be my favorite blog.
why poker is better than adsense?
After one month of using Adsense here as an experiment, I decided to remove it, no banners, no cheap referral pronotional ads, nothing. Now my blog looks much cleaner and not only it looks cleaner, but also it earns MUCH more. Serious, here is why it earns more.
If I display 3 referal banners, say hostgator + PayPerPost + Text link Ads, I get MAYBE one sign up in 2-3 months. Maybe not, but the blinking banners are here and annoy the visitors.
If I display adsense, with current traffic I get about 5-7 clicks a day, this niche (whatever it is) turns to be very low paying so I earn between 3-5 dollars a day at best. Having such a busy advertisement-filled blog, means some more serious advertisers would not want to associate with me. In other words, I make a few bucks a month and have a crappy looking blow.
Now, Ads were gone. ImpulseBlogger looks clean and professional and people are ready to pay higher prices for a review here. Also, having Adsese away allows me to review the highest paying products — Online Casino sites and this means I easily could make $70 a month and that is if I am picky and only take adverts I like. If I was less picky I can easily go over $100. So… Much as I love Google, it bought me an ass-kicking monitor and loads of other pleasant stuff, I think for now I will stick to the clean look that unfortunately Google cannot provide.
